Brief:
Amazon Prime Video wanted to popularise the second season of its successful show Aspirants; a coming-of-age story about young UPSC aspirants navigating failure, friendship, and ambition on their journey to becoming IAS officers.
Idea:
While season one was intense and emotional, it also unintentionally became meme fuel. For season two, we leaned into internet culture instead of fighting it.
We brought together @PleaseSitDown (Vijender Singh Chauhan), widely recognised for his mock UPSC interviews, and comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi, who has joked about once wanting to clear UPSC and become an IAS officer.

The idea was simple: stage a mock IAS interview with the Aspirants cast, moderated by Vijender ji, and let Bassi do what he does best - derail seriousness with humour, while staying rooted in the UPSC world.
My role:
I conceptualised and wrote the long-form video. The film clocked nearly 10 million impressions on YouTube alone. Short clips travelled widely across Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, driving strong organic buzz. The show saw a significant spike in viewership, with millions of streams in the first week of launch.
The next video was a follow-up piece born from audience reaction. A character who was widely loved in season one, Sandeep Bhaiya became heavily disliked in season two due to key plot turns. To tap into that sentiment, we paired the character with CarryMinati; a creator who understands public backlash better than most, having faced intense hate during past controversies.
